resident-evil-the-final-chapter-57ef9cbb94ff3The second full trailer for Resident Evil: The Final Chapter is here, but I consider the first trailer to be more of a teaser while this is more plot-centric. I see myself as a particularly big fan of this movie franchise. It’s not the best thing in the world, but it is fun. I even really enjoyed the most recent film, which played out like a video game in my opinion – only one way to go, through several levels. Now we are onto the last movie and last chapter in Alice’s story. Check out the trailer below:

I’ve been playing some of the video games recently, which makes me respect the direction of the films just a little more, as they not only have some of the same characters but also some of the same villains as well. One in particular can be seen in the trailer above. As I just finished the Resident Evil 5 video game, I instantly recognized the flying bat/scorpion, a monstrous creature. That thing was really annoying in the games…pretty much any flying villain can be annoying – and I’m guessing its nuisance will be transferred to the big screen. What I really want to see, however, is how they end the franchise.

The trailer suggests some kind of healing antidote which ends the whole infection crisis, but Alice can’t exactly trust it…and can you blame her after all she’s gone through? She’s basically the Jack Bauer of the zombie apocalypse. Antidote or not, I expect them to end the series on a good note, and not on some kind of cliffhanger that ticks us all off to high heaven. Only time can tell!
