  1. This film is really excellent! It’s darker than the usual Agatha Christie. You have all the family members, brought to life by these wonderful performances by the likes of Glenn Close, Christina Hendricks, and Gillan Anderson –and everyone hates each other. And somehow, this gorgeous Max Irons, by not playing the stereotypical macho detective, adds a realistic sense of tension and pathos, as he struggles to solve the case and figure out his relationship with the victim’s granddaughter –beautifully played by Stefani Martini.
